Welcome to Stitch Sew & Show ~ 2022 ~ Week 19

When I started this project to revive and build my crochet skills,

 it was to be 20 squares for this

It soon took a life of its own and I added setting rectangles

 and granny squares and my own border.

Every time I sit in my favorite living room chair to make some progress

I put the WIP away when I am not working on it or the cat(s)

Welcome to Stitch Sew & Show ~ 2022 ~ Week 15

It has been a busy week and we have been able to get some yard clean up done.

When I have been sitting inside, I have slowly been stitching the blocks for my patchwork crochet together.

I like to use a plastic yarn needle and the ladder stitch.

I start with a loop stitch that doubles my yarn.

I place my stitches just under the double loops of my single crochet edge stitcth.

The ladder stitch is an up and down  movement.

My kitty and I are making something new.

I am calling this "Patchwork Crochet." 

What is on your design wall today? 

This part feels almost like quilting.

I have the blocks laid out and I am sewing them together.

For this purpose I am using a large plastic needle and yarn and the ladder stitch. 

Hope to have the center of my "patchwork crochet quilt"  soon.
